Sara Al-Khairulla
My path to becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist began with my own personal journey. Before I trained as a therapist, I experienced the challenges of depression and the complex layers of growing up as an Arab in England. These experiences shaped me and deepened my understanding of emotional struggle, identity, and healing.
Counselling first became part of my life as a teenager and I returned to it at different points when I needed support. It gave me a safe, non-judgemental space where I felt seen, heard, and accepted. Over time, therapy helped me better understand myself, manage my mental health and reconnect with others while also finding clarity, meaning, and resilience.
These experiences led me to become a therapist myself. I was drawn to people’s inner worlds, shaped by my interests in psychology, anthropology and the stories we carry. Becoming a counsellor felt like a natural continuation of that lifelong curiosity and compassion.
Today, I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in London, offering both in-person and online therapy. My approach is grounded, supportive, and attuned to your individual needs. I provide a calm and welcoming space for people from all walks of life to explore their thoughts and feelings, find emotional clarity and create lasting change.

Holistic Psychotherapy
I work from a Gestalt therapy perspective; a holistic approach that sees the mind, body, emotions and environment as interconnected. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, Gestalt therapy focuses on awareness in the present moment, helping you make sense of your experiences and move toward greater self-integration and healing.
As a relational therapist, I place great value on the therapeutic relationship itself. I believe that a genuine, human connection between client and therapist is central to the healing process. Together, we will build a collaborative and trusting space where you can feel safe to grow at your own pace.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, identity, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to support you with empathy, insight, and care.
